Publication Ethics

At DIM Review, scientific integrity is the cornerstone of scholarly publishing. The journal is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards throughout the editorial and publication process.

The Editorial Board, reviewers, authors, and publisher share the responsibility of ensuring that every published article meets internationally recognized principles of academic honesty, transparency, and research integrity.

Editorial Principles

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and contribution of submitted manuscripts, without discrimination based on nationality, gender, ethnicity, religion, political opinion, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to DIM Review agree that:

Originality

Submitted work must be entirely original.

Any use of the ideas, words, figures, tables, or data of others must be properly cited.

Multiple or Concurrent Submission

Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal.

Duplicate publication is considered unethical and is not permitted.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research.

All listed authors must:

  • approve the final manuscript;
  • agree with its submission;
  • accept responsibility for the published work.

Gift authorship and ghost authorship are unacceptable.

Data Integrity

Authors must present research findings honestly and accurately.

Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or selective reporting of data constitutes scientific misconduct.

Research data should be retained and made available upon reasonable request whenever possible.

Acknowledgement of Sources

All sources influencing the research must be appropriately acknowledged.

Proper citation of previous work is essential for scientific transparency.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation of their work.

If no conflict exists, authors should explicitly state:

“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Funding

All sources of financial support must be clearly identified.

The role of funding organizations should be disclosed whenever applicable.

Ethical Approval

Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards.

Where required, authors must indicate approval by an institutional ethics committee.

Research involving human participants should also confirm informed consent when appropriate.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Peer reviewers play a critical role in maintaining scientific quality.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • evaluate manuscripts objectively;
  • provide constructive scientific comments;
  • maintain confidentiality;
  • declare conflicts of interest;
  • decline review assignments when lacking appropriate expertise;
  • identify relevant published work not cited by the authors;
  • report suspected plagiarism or research misconduct.

Reviewers must never use unpublished information for personal advantage.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and transparent editorial process.

Editors shall:

  • evaluate submissions solely on scientific merit;
  • preserve reviewer anonymity where applicable;
  • avoid conflicts of interest;
  • protect confidential information;
  • ensure editorial independence;
  • investigate allegations of misconduct;
  • correct or retract published articles when necessary.

The Editor-in-Chief has final responsibility for publication decisions.

Peer Review Policy

DIM Review applies a double-blind peer review process.

Each manuscript undergoes:

  1. Editorial screening
  2. Scope verification
  3. Similarity assessment
  4. Assignment to independent expert reviewers
  5. Scientific evaluation
  6. Editorial decision
  7. Author revision when necessary
  8. Final publication

Editorial decisions include:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Plagiarism Policy

DIM Review has a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism.

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software before peer review.

Plagiarism includes:

  • direct copying;
  • mosaic plagiarism;
  • paraphrasing without attribution;
  • self-plagiarism;
  • duplicate publication;
  • unauthorized reproduction of figures or tables.

Confirmed plagiarism may result in:

  • immediate rejection;
  • withdrawal of accepted manuscripts;
  • publication of corrections or retractions;
  • notification of the authors’ institutions when appropriate.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Authors may use artificial intelligence tools to improve grammar, language, or readability.

However:

  • authors remain fully responsible for all submitted content;
  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors;
  • the scientific interpretation, conclusions, and originality must remain the responsibility of the human authors;
  • any substantial use of AI-assisted writing or content generation should be transparently disclosed where appropriate.

Corrections and Retractions

DIM Review is committed to preserving the integrity of the scientific record.

When significant errors or misconduct are identified, the journal may publish:

  • Corrections (Errata)
  • Expressions of Concern
  • Retractions

These decisions are made following a careful editorial investigation.

Complaints and Appeals

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a reasoned request to the Editorial Office.

Appeals are reviewed independently by the Editor-in-Chief or designated members of the Editorial Board.

The journal also welcomes reports concerning publication ethics or editorial misconduct.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received are treated as confidential documents.

Editors and reviewers may not disclose or discuss submitted manuscripts with unauthorized persons.

Confidential information obtained during peer review must never be used for personal benefit.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

Authors retain responsibility for ensuring that all copyrighted material included in their manuscripts has been used with appropriate permission.

Proper acknowledgement of all intellectual contributions is mandatory.
